I keep seeing people posting on LinkedIn that we’re “over indexed” on generalists.
Many of these specialist roles are rebranded generalist ones.
That superstar Marketing Manager you want? Generalist.
Managers manage people and expectations, they should barely be in Canva or posting.
They make sure data and strategy align.
That web designer that designs and codes? Generalist. Designers design, developers take care of the code.
What you meant to say is you’ve over indexed on generalists who want to be paid correctly for the roles you put them in.
